Illegal stay leads to the detention of six foreign nationals in Porto

The Immigration and Borders Service (SEF) has detained, yesterday, at a hotel unit in Porto, six foreign nationals illegally staying in the national territory, after being flagged by the Accommodation Bulletin Information System (SIBA).

They have been brought to SEF facilities, where it has been found that three had three measures for non-admission within the Schengen territory issued by France and Italy, and the remainder did not hold any visa or residence permit allowing them to stay or move freely within the European Union, and therefore they have been detained.

Brought before the misdemeanour court, they have been notified for regular reporting within SEF, and, in addition, procedures for the expulsion from the national territory have been established.
