SEF deports murderer of the PSP officer in 2005

​The Immigration and Borders Service (SEF), with the responsibility for forced return and judicial deportation of foreign nationals all over the national territory, has carried out, yesterday, an operation of removal, by air, of the Cape Verdean citizen accused for the murder of the PSP officer Irineu Diniz on February 2005, in Cova da Moura, Amadora.

The foreign national has been released this Thursday, after having served 17 of the 23 years of imprisonment, in which he has been banned from the Schengen area for the next 10 years.

The removal has been held through Lisboa International Airport, to Praia, from where he is a natural, with an escort of inspectors of the recently created Third Line Unit of the Directorate for Borders of Lisboa.
