SEF follows evacuation at high seas of foreign national

The Immigration and Borders Service (SEF) has followed, this morning, a medical evacuation of a 45-year-old crew member who suffered from an accident in high seas, off the coast of Cascais.

Under its competencies, and given that it is a foreign national, SEF has carried out the due steps for the checking conditions on entry and stay of the citizen to be evacuated, in which the necessary visa has been issued.

This operation occurred at Cascais Marina, and, in addition to SEF, the Maritime Rescue and Coordination Centre of Lisboa, the Maritime Police, the Shipwrecked Rescue Institute and the Fire Fighters of Cascais have also been involved, bringing the crew member to Cascais Hospital.
