Citizens of Brazilian nationality that meet the conditions specified in the Portuguese-Brazilian Agreement on reciprocal contracting of workers, and who have not as yet applied for the respective permanence prorogation from the Aliens and Borders Service (SEF) may still do it, provided all prerequisites determined by the mentioned Agreement are met. The agreement is valid for a period of 5 years (up to 11 July 2008) and therefore the regularisation process will continue, granting an opportunity for regularisation to Brazilian citizens who entered in Portugal up to 11 July 2003. The Brazilian nationals who wish to benefit under this agreement, must approach one of SEF’s bureaus, for which an appointment can be booked in advance through the telephone number 808202653 (calling from a telephone line), or 808962690 (calling from a mobile telephone) of SEF’s Call Centre. Any doubts or queries may be clarified through the mentioned telephone number or by using the following e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org. Should you require any documents to proceed with the regularization of your situation, you may also contact the General Consulate of Brazil in Portugal – Lisbon or Porto – to obtain support in organizing your personal file, in readiness to conclude your process of regularisation.
